Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Reward team are looking for a Reward Analyst to join the business to champion and drive a culture of DEI at Auckland Council and across Council Controlled Organisations, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.
In addition, this role is pivotal in managing remuneration and rewards consistently and effectively, aligning with our commitment to meet employer obligations and uphold employee entitlements. By fostering an inclusive environment, we aim to enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and overall organisational success.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships: Build effective connections with internal and external customers for efficient reporting and monitoring.
- Reviewing job evaluations: Assess job evaluations and support requests from various channels.
- Coordinating remuneration and DE&I information: Gather and manage data from remuneration and engagement surveys, and from external consultants.
- Supporting survey submissions and accreditations: Assist in submitting remuneration surveys and DE&I accreditations.
- Delivering DE&I and recognition initiatives: Collaborate with the team to implement DE&I and recognition programmes across the council, and support staff networks in their events.
This fixed term role until May 2027 is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves collaborating, supporting others, and driving high performance.
He kōrero mōu: About you
This role ideally requires a degree in Human Resources or demonstrated experience working in remuneration or HR. You have experience in similar roles within large, complex, or political organisations.
In addition, we will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements:
- strong knowledge of modelling tools including Excel and HRIS systems
- solid knowledge of analysis, combined with sharp analytical, critical evaluation, and problem-solving skills
We are looking for a supportive team player, who thrives in helping colleagues strengthen their knowledge and skills to tackle tasks and solve problems. You will work effectively and cooperatively with others, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships.

This role has a remuneration range of $78,400-$92,000
Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered.
