We enrich Auckland's cultural life and vibrancy through inspirational experiences, activations and events that bring our region's unique identity and spirit to life.
We look after our some of our region’s most-loved taonga and places, ensure they are accessible, and enhance them for the benefit of current and future generations. We strive to ensure the world knows about the things that make our region special.
We deliver a diverse programme of experiences and events to help make Auckland a desirable place to live, work and visit. We are focused on growing revenue through events, sponsorship, venue sales and more to reinvest in Auckland's success – while reducing our reliance on ratepayer funding.
OUR APPROACH
We are an Auckland Council-controlled organisation. We deliver a co-ordinated, region-wide programme to maximise cultural and social benefits for our residents and visitors on behalf of Auckland Council. In December 2020, Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) merged with Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) to become Tātaki Auckland Unlimited.

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited recognises Te Tiriti o Waitangi, acknowledging its importance to our mahi. We know Auckland’s Māori identity is a unique point of difference in the world. As such, we are committed to reflecting te reo Māori in our communications, incorporating te ao Māori in our programming and events, and to advancing the aspirations of Māori in our community.
