Join the Marketing, Communications and Growth rōpū and help bring Auckland's most exciting live experiences to life.
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, this role sits within the Auckland Live Marketing & Ticketing team, where you'll plan, deliver and optimise marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, grow audiences and elevate the Auckland Live brand. From major theatre productions and concerts to festivals and city centre activations, you'll work across a diverse programme, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to connect audiences with unforgettable experiences.
This role is ideal for a marketer with experience in the arts, entertainment, events or cultural sectors who wants to play a key role in delivering audience growth and commercial outcomes across Auckland's leading live entertainment venues.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, outdoor, print and owned channels.
- Manage campaign activity from planning through to execution, optimisation and post-campaign evaluation.
- Provide marketing support and relationship management to presenters, promoters and stakeholders across Auckland Live venues and wider Tātaki Auckland Unlimited rōpū.
- Create compelling content for Auckland Live's digital and social channels to drive awareness, engagement and ticket sales.
- Collaborate with design, ticketing, communications and content teams to maximise campaign performance.
- Monitor campaign performance and audience behaviour, using data and insights to optimise results.
- Support audience development initiatives that attract new and diverse audiences to Auckland Live experiences.
- Manage campaign budgets, timelines and reporting requirements.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You're an experienced marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and understands the unique challenges of promoting live experiences. You bring a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on campaign delivery and stakeholder management skills, with a passion for connecting audiences to arts, culture and entertainment.
Ideally, you have experience working within the arts, creative, entertainment, performing arts, festivals, venue or live events sectors and understand the commercial drivers behind ticket sales, audience growth and event success.
You will have:
- 3+ years' experience in a marketing, campaign or communications role.
- Experience working within the arts, entertainment, cultural, creative industries, festivals, events or venue sectors is highly desirable.
- Proven experience planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns from concept through to execution and evaluation.
- Strong understanding of audience acquisition, engagement and conversion strategies.
- Experience managing multiple campaigns and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with presenters, promoters, agencies and internal teams.
- Strong digital marketing capability, including social media, email marketing, paid digital advertising and website content.
- Demonstrated content creation and copywriting skills, with exceptional attention to detail and proofreading ability.
- Experience analysing campaign performance and using data and insights to optimise future activity.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, including experience using tools such as Asana, Teams and Microsoft 365.
- Budget management experience, including tracking expenditure and delivering campaigns within budget is highly desired.

This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), with some evening and weekend work required to support live events.
