He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Our pool and leisure facilities are more popular than ever, and as Team Leader Aquatics for West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre, you will play a key part to improve the customer experience for all Aucklanders that visit our Centres and take management of our Centres to another level.

You will be responsible for effectively leading the day-to-day operation of the aquatics team including the safe supervision of our pools and delivery of aquatics-based programmes.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will have management experience in a similar aquatics environment with relevant professional qualifications and a strong understanding of poolside health and safety and experience in developing and leading a lifeguard team. Joining an energetic and passionate team, you will be an influential leader with experience managing and developing a high performing team within a leisure facility.

You’ll need to hold current First Aid Certificate and Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificates. As the centre operates 7 days a week, reliability, and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts are crucial.

You'll be working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days.
