Auckland Unlimited is the economic growth agency for Tāmaki Makaurau and the screen sector is a significant contributor to Auckland’s economy and has been identified as a growth industry.  We are the region’s film office, providing all film production facilitation and permitting services, industry capability building and advocacy, production partnership and attraction functions. We manage several film studios across Auckland so from the back lot to the box office, we’ve got the facilities and skills on and off-screen to make great things happen. We’ve hosted leading international studios and major productions and earned a track record as a stellar film destination.


We are looking for Film Studio Site Manager to join the amazing team. In this role, you will provide full site management services and meeting all AUL’s responsibilities as leaseholder. 


In this role you will provide full site management services in accordance with the lease and provide leadership and support to AUL studio manager, administrators and facilitators including support in the hiring of suitable suppliers to provide works.  You will closely work with the Film Facilitator and Studio management team to arrange any suppliers to come on site to do works using Council preferred suppliers and process and requesting purchase orders when needed. We are not a hierarchal team. Our team work collaboratively together with each other to assist with or share the workload across multiple worksites as needed which allows the team address issues quickly and continue working in the absence of any team member.

Having worked with studios at a high level, you will be an advocate in Health & Safety, have excellent interpersonal skills together with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-organisational projects involving multiple stakeholders, business units within a matrix organisational structure.


You have the ability to strengthen and nurture key responsibilities within the different stakeholders.  You are excellent at building trust and strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders and have a good understanding of the construction industry including Health & Safety, risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements.
