He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

An opportunity has arisen to work as a permanent Library & Council Service Assistant in the Henderson-Massey Local Board.

This is a Permanent 26-hour part-time position, that will be requiring working across the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). The role is primarily based at Waitākere Central Library in Henderson but does require flexibility as you will be working across the Henderson-Massey Local Board libraries and hubs when needed.

 

In this customer focused role, you will be contributing to the day-to-day running of the library and front-line library service, which includes Council Services. You will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and customers to enable a great experience. You will be working closely with our local community through a range of programmes, from children's activities and supporting and/or delivering exciting learning programmes and activities that are driven by community need.

•    You have the ability to demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
•    You’re comfortable with technology and able to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices that are available at the library.
•    You’re able to support customers to use a wide range of library and Council services. Training will be provided as required.
•    You’re willing to work with the library team in the planning and delivery of programmes and events for and by the community. 
•    You take a flexible and collaborative approach to your work. 
•    You’re organised and a quick learner with a growth mindset.
