Join our West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre as a Lead Group Fitness and play a key part in making the experience of our customers fun, safe, and enjoyable.
You will be supporting the Team Leader Fitness who leads a team of Group Fitness Instructors and Fitness Consultants that love to engage with our customers, talk to them and understand their needs to encourage them to enjoy keeping fit & healthy on a regular basis.
You’ll be responsible for the different programmes offered in group fitness classes, and grow and develop a team of group fitness instructors. You’ll be training, coaching, assessing and scheduling instructor rosters and classes.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You’ll have experience managing a team within the health and fitness environment and a proven track record in developing & maintaining relationships with a diverse range of internal and external customers. You’ll also need to hold an NZ-recognised qualification in Sport or Recreation, including fitness qualifications (REPs) and a First Aid certificate.
Your leadership experience and passion to inspire your team will help the team reach and even go beyond its targets. Ideally, you will have experience teaching group fitness, for example, LES MILLS group fitness.
You will be an excellent communicator and committed to delivering exceptional fitness programmes and providing a high level of customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidate would also be tech-savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excels.

This is a permanent 30 hours per week, rostered over 7 days.
Our centre opens from 5am to 9pm, so flexibility is the key.
Pay rate: $28.65+ph
This position is deemed a safety-sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug testing.
