Auckland Council’s Community Facilities department has an opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join the Operations Team in the Franklin Local Board area. This critical role focuses on managing maintenance and asset performance across Local Board areas, ensuring safe, well-maintained facilities for our communities.

You could expect to work on:
•    Managing maintenance and compliance for council-owned assets
•    Driving contractor performance and ensuring health & safety standards
•    Monitoring asset condition and reporting for continuous improvement
•    Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver service excellence
•    Providing on-call support for urgent issues

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

This role requires experience in facilities and asset management within large, complex organisations. 

We will be looking for:

•    7+ years’ experience in maintenance delivery and contractor management
•    Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance and risk management
•    Experience managing complex maintenance programs and asset types
•    NZ Driver’s licence and ability to travel across sites
•    Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
