The regional parks are passionately maintained and cared for by Park Rangers, volunteers and local communities.

As a Ranger, this role presents you with a fantastic opportunity to support the values that make our organisation and parks world class.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will ideally have previous experience in a parks, reserves and recreation environment (3 years +), and be able to demonstrate customer service delivery to a high level. It is essential that you have a clean full New Zealand drivers licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle. You will enjoy working with customers, stakeholders, iwi and volunteers. You will have a 'can do' positive attitude to make things happen, have sound practical experience, be proactive, approachable and motivated.

This role requires working on a 40 hour a week roster system, being available for weekends and public holidays.

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer

While focusing on our customers and stakeholders, this role offers great job variety in a stunning and unique work environment, with excellent opportunity for personal development and upskilling. Working as part of a competent, passionate team you will deliver a world class Ranger service by facilitating a safe, rewarding experience in our beautiful Regional Parks.

Our regional parks are much loved and treasured by the people of Auckland and visitors alike, receiving up to 6 million visits a year. They represent the iconic landscapes of the Auckland region and are home to many rare and threatened ecosystems and native species. For many of us, they are places that inspire and define us; places where we seek tranquillity and respite in nature, or more active recreation in the bush or on the beach!

This is your opportunity to secure a sought-after role in an amazing work environment. If this sounds like your next role apply now!

This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
