He angitūtanga: The opportunity
An opportunity has arisen to work as a Library & Council Service Assistant in the Rodney North local board Libraries, based at Warkworth War Memorial Library. This will require you to be flexible as you may need to work from other sites within the local board areas, such as Mahurangi East Library and Wellsford War Memorial Library.
Warkworth War Memorial Library is a busy community library serving a diverse and vibrant community. Our library whānau is focused on caring for each other, our community, and our environment. We host regular kids' programmes during the week, and we're seeking someone keen to help our Children and Youth Librarian with the delivery of these. Warkworth Library is also an integrated site offering council services, and the successful applicant will be encouraged and supported to deliver these invaluable services to our community.
We are looking for a flexible all-rounder to join and contribute as part of a high-achieving, cohesive, and dynamic team. You will be supporting the team and contributing to the day-to-day running of the library. As this is a customer service role, you will be supporting customers from all walks of life. Many of our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days, including weekends and late nights, is required. We are looking to fill a 21-hr permanent part time role that will be working on Monday, Friday, and Saturday (8.30AM-4PM).

You will have strong people skills, are flexible and adaptable to our library environment. You have a passion for customer service with a positive attitude towards serving people of all ages and backgrounds. You are eager to learn new skills and thrive in a busy work environment.
