Auckland Council’s Parks & Community Service department have various opportunities for Holiday Park Assistants to join their team in permanent full time/part time (1x role ranging from 20 hours - 40 hours) and 2x casual roles. We are seeking a hands-on, versatile, friendly people who are used to a busy work environment and who can assist with the day-to-day operation of the Holiday Park. You’ll be working closely with an amazing collaborative team to ensure our guests’ have a positive and memorable experience with us.

 
You could expect to work on:

  • Administrative duties
  • Welcoming guests
  • Processing online and in-person bookings
  • Grounds maintenance including grass mowing, strimming
  • General cleaning duties, emptying bins etc 

 
He kōrero mōu: About you
 
You will be confident with administration and reception duties and have experience with cash handling as well as an ability to use your initiative to resolve both operational and maintenance issues as they arise. 

 

We will be looking for people who have:

  • Administrative/reception experience 
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work rosters (including public holidays)
  • Enthusiastic and approachable demeanour with a customer focussed approach 
  • A maintenance background would be useful, but not essential

 

You will be working upto 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days. The Park is open 7 days a week including public and school holidays, we are especially busy throughout the summer months, so having the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, and additional shifts is required. The role also assists in support across the portfolio of our other holiday parks as and when required. 

 

Martins Bay Holiday Park is a large and busy Qualmark 4 Star rated and one of Auckland Region’s stunning holiday destinations with a range of offerings from camping, RV/campervan powered sites, glamping tents to units, cabins and facilities.  The park is located in Mahurangi East, approx. 75 minutes’ drive north of central Auckland.
