Are you looking to make a difference locally? Amenities & Infrastructure Maintenance Services (AIM Services) staff are proud to care for our local parks, community facilities and infrastructure for the enjoyment of everyone in our region.


We are currently looking for qualified/experienced staff to join our team at Waiheke depot in the Leading Hand position. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of a wide range of parks and tracks. You will be performing several tasks like weed eating, clearing drains, sight linning and small projects. As a Leading hand, your experience with be called upon to help train and develop new and existing staff.  


He kōrero mōu: About you


You will be an Enthusiastic person with proven work experience and good performance. Ability to work in a team and comply with health and safety requirements will be key to your success. Stamina with a good level of fitness and agility is required and you will need a clean NZ drivers’ licence with manual driving skills.

What will set you apart from the rest is as valid Growsafe certificate, proven long term  experience or National Horticulture Certificate level  3 or 4. However, we will be keen to look at people with the right experience in the field to provide them certified training. 

People Leader Skills are highly required for this role as you will be coaching, training, supervising, assessing the quality of the work and leading the team by example.


Ideal candidate would be someone that currently lives on the Island

Competitive hourly rates are on offer, on a contract based on 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime.
