Te Whare Noho Pēkepīkau o Waiheke Backpackers is located above Onetangi Beach with stunning sea views and nearby attractions and activities.  Waiheke Island is known for its many beautiful beaches and has plentiful natural wonders to explore. The island is well known for its local artists, local shops and markets. It is a quick 40-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland and less than 1.5 hours from Auckland International Airport.

We are seeking enthusiastic, and customer focussed people to join our team in a permanent part-time (30hrs) and Casual (2x) Guest Services role.  This role will see you supporting with a range of duties to ensure our guests have an unforgettable stay. You will be responsible for customer service and front-of-house responsibilities, including managing guest bookings and registration, payments, and cash handling, responding to calls and emails, providing guests with local information and housekeeping duties, such as servicing and cleaning rooms, amenities, communal areas, and raise any maintenance issues to the manager, RFS system or operations team.


He kōrero mōu: About you


You will bring with your previous experience in customer service or hospitality and be a natural at interacting with people from all walks of life. Ideally, you will also have some cleaning and cash handling experience. This is a physically demanding role, so a good level of fitness is required. As you will be using our online booking system, you must be able to pick up new computer systems efficiently. You will take pride in your work and be committed to providing exceptional results for our guests. 


The hostel is open 7 days a week including public and school holidays, we are especially busy throughout summer months so having the ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and additional shifts as required is a must.
