He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Technician to assist with the technical delivery of services to all events undertaken by our Production Department across Auckland Live and Conventions and Tātaki Auckland Unlimited co-produced and presented events.
 
We have a permanent full-time vacancy for a Sound and Vision Technician working 80 hours per fortnightly pay cycle.
 
This is a rostered 24/7 role, as a Technician in these areas, you’ll play an integral part in the production team, assisting in the delivery of events across the organization.
 
Your daily responsibilities will consist of:
•    Setting up and packing down technical equipment in various venues across Auckland
•    Work on many different event types including theatre productions, musicals, dance, concerts, conferences, meetings, product launches, etc. 
•    Work alongside highly experienced technicians with state of the art equipment and systems.
•    Work with artists, promotors, and corporates ranging from community to international event companies

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has:
•    An industry qualification in related field; a degree or diploma in Video or Audio is preferred. 
•    Flexibility of working hours including overnight shifts and weekends as required
•    Minimum 2-3 years in the technical event industry

•    A clean, full New Zealand driver’s license
•    Good understanding of Sound and Vision equipment including Sound systems, Projection equipment, LED screens, Cameras and streaming equipment.
•    Physical fitness and strength for the demands of the role
•    Good communication, customer service and client engagement skills

Salary Range $61,921.60 to $80,000 per annum
