We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced people leader to join Auckland Council as our Team Leader Workplace Support.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of workplace support services that help create a welcoming, safe, and well-functioning environment for our people and visitors. From managing reception services and shared spaces to supporting workplace events and general building support activities, you'll ensure our corporate workplaces operate smoothly and provide a positive experience for everyone who uses them.

Working closely with Workplace Services Business Partners, and a wide range of stakeholders, you'll lead a dedicated team while driving continuous improvement across workplace services and supporting the evolving needs of our organisation.

You are a customer-focused leader with a passion for delivering exceptional workplace experiences. You enjoy developing people, building strong relationships, and creating environments where staff and visitors feel welcomed and supported.

You'll bring:

• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management

• Experience in workplace operations, facilities, hospitality, customer service, or a similar environment

• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities

• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance workplace services

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and workplace technology systems

• An understanding of health and safety requirements and a commitment to maintaining safe workplaces

• Lead, develop, and support a team of Workplace Support professionals

• Foster a high-performing, customer-centric culture across workplace services

• Ensure reception areas, communal spaces, meeting rooms, and workplace facilities are maintained to a high standard

• Support workplace events, activities, and workplace change initiatives

• Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement service improvements

• Ensure workplace guidelines, communications, and processes align with council policies

• Promote and maintain strong health, safety, and wellbeing practices across workplace environments
