- Salary range - $130,000 to $152,000 plus KiwiSaver contribution
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Lead, manage and coach a team of planners to develop professionally and achieve their KPIs, whilst delivering good customer service and high-quality environmental and urban development outcomes. Review and make decisions on resource consents under delegation and be involved in the Unit’s operational management and decision making. Working primarily in the office is expected but flexible working arrangements are available.
He kōrero mōu: About you
Ideally, you’ll have at least two years’ leadership experience but might be a Senior Planner ready to take your next step. You’ll demonstrate leadership capabilities, have strong technical and working knowledge of the RMA and AUP, awareness of proposed legislative changes, and excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills. You’ll have at least 8 years’ experience in the urban planning/resource management field and hold a relevant tertiary qualification preferably acknowledged by NZPI. A valid full NZ driver’s license is required to use Council vehicles.
