Auckland’s Regional Parks play a fundamental role in preserving our unique and iconic landscapes across the region. Receiving up to 1.6 million visits a year, they are home to many rare and threatened ecosystems and native species. The Southern Regional Parks have a diverse range of environments from open pastures to beaches and coastal areas.

 

Our Summer Park Rangers play a key part in facilitating safe and enjoyable outdoor recreation and education experiences. Summer Rangers engage with the public daily providing their assistance and excellent customer service. 

 

This year we are seeking 6 Summer Rangers who will be based at one of our Southern Regional parks. We offer free and basic onsite accommodation and recommend you provide your own soft furnishings to ensure your comfort across the 3 or 4 month fixed term.

A clean and full NZ driver’s licence is mandatory and manual driving skills are desirable.

 

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer

 

These positions will work full-time from 13 November 2024 - 14 February 2025 or 13th November – 14th March 2025. You will need to be available to attend a mandatory training camp from 18th November 2024 – 22nd November 2024 at Atiu Creek Regional Park.

 

You would work on a roster that includes every weekend and public holiday over the summer period including Christmas and New Years Day. 

 

This role pays a living wage of $27.80 per hour.
