Come join our community focused library that prides itself on providing exceptional programmes and delivering outstanding customer service. We are currently looking for a new team member who has the confidence and creativity to engage with Pasifika whanau across the local board. In this role you will develop, deliver and promote Pasifika services both in the library and through outreach programmes. You will work closely with Librarians in the local board, championing Pasifika initiatives while also being a valued member of the Tupu Youth Library Team.
This is a permanent part-time position working 38-hours per week including a rostered weekend initially based at Tupu Youth Library, with flexibility required to work at other sites in the Ōtara - Papatoetoe Local Board.
He kōrero mōu: About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is inspired and excited about working with our Pasifika community. Strong communication and digital skills are a must, as well as an ability to foster literacy and community engagement. Strong interpersonal skills will be needed to effectively engage with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on children and youth and demonstrated flexibility, friendliness, and excellent communication skills as a collaborative team member. You will also need to share and contribute to our vision of making a difference to Pasifika people in the Ōtara - Papatoetoe Local Board.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 38 hours per week on a variable schedule. Work schedule below:
- Tuesday – Friday: 9AM - 5.30PM
- Saturday: 10AM - 4.30PM
Our library is open seven days a week so flexibility around working hours including weekends is required.
