He angitūtanga: The opportunity 
Auckland Council’s Building Consents team has an opportunity for a Regulatory Support Officer to join the team. This is a customer-focused role where you will provide efficient administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of our Auckland Council building consent and resource consent processes. Our team strives to provide the best quality service possible to our customers while working within an extremely fast-paced environment and balancing these two priorities.


You can expect to work on:

  • Supporting processes aligned with Building Consents, through Code Compliance Certificate Issuance, and Property file products and data management.
  • Carrying out all support functions accurately and in line with legislation, council policies and processes, and within statutory target timeframes
  • Ensuring finalization of fees, reconciliations, invoicing, refunds, SAP Purchase orders, receipting, and paperwork is undertaken in the required timeframes.
  • Handle complaints and requests for service, public inquiries via face-to face contact, phone calls, inspections bookings, and correspondence, coordinating and providing quality information for services to internal and external customers.

He kōrero mōu: About you 

To be successful in this role you will need to have 3 -4 years experience in customer service or the regulatory field. Experience in credit control will be highly advantageous.


We will be looking for specific experience with:

  • Adapting to new technology
  • Working in a fast-paced environment


Having a good understanding of building legislation and previous SAP experience would make your application stand out.
