Part-Time Visitor Services Representative

•    Support the delivery of reception, site bookings, guided walks, workshops, displays and events

At Auckland Botanic Gardens, we are passionate about connecting people with plants.  People from all walks of life enjoy the experience of our gardens.  We need someone to join our visitor services team who is keen on gardens and likes connecting with people.


If you have a strong horticultural background, experience dealing with customers and can 'tell and sell the story of plants' we want to hear from you.  The role primarily involves reception, providing information and advice to our visitors.  At times you may also be called upon to assist in delivering guided tours, community education programmes and creating displays.

So, if you are keen on plants and you're positive, enthusiastic, customer focused and have fantastic communication skills this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for. To assist with delivery of our Maori Responsiveness objectives if you speak Te Reo Maori it would be desirable.


Flexibility is needed ideally to work rostered hours that could be between 7.30am and 5pm, to cover the opening hours of the gardens both weekdays and weekends with occasional evening support for events.
