We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our Network Support Team.  Whether you're an experienced and qualified lifeguard or looking to start a career in Leisure, we'd love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to combine lifeguarding, customer service, and personal growth in a fun and rewarding environment.  

As a Network Support Team Memberyou'll play a key role in supporting leisure centres across Auckland, helping to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all visitors. 

Working across multiple locations, you will provide operational coverage support to meet planned leave, training commitments, and day-to-day business needs. This unique position offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to work alongside a diverse range of teams, meaning no two days are ever the same. 

Key Responsibilities  

Lifeguarding 

  • Actively supervise pool areas and promote water safety. 

  • Respond to first aid and emergency situations. 

  • Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming. 

Customer Service 

  • Welcome and assist customers and visitors. 

  • Process memberships, bookings, and enquiries. 

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences. 

Location and Hours 

We are currently looking for permanent team member working 20 hours, 24 hours or 32 hours per week.  

You'll work across a variety of centres in South & East Auckland, working on a flexible roster with fortnightly changes: Monday to Sunday between 5:00am to 10:00pm. 

Locations: Howick Leisure Centre, Lloyd Elsmore Park Pool and Leisure Centre, Manurewa Pool and Leisure Centre, Ōtara Pool and Leisure Centre, Papatoetoe Centennial Pools and Leisure Centre, Allan Brewster Leisure Centre, Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre

We're looking for people who: 

  • Enjoy working with people and supporting their community. 

  • Are adaptable and thrive in different environments. 

  • Have strong communication and customer service skills. 

  • Are confident swimmers and committed to safety. 

  • Work well in a team and take initiative. 

  • Hold a current driver's licence and have reliable transport. 

Lifeguard Training Available 

Don't have your lifeguard qualifications yet? No problem. 

Successful applicants who do not currently hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC) or First Aid Certificate will receive fully funded training from 9 Nov to 20 Nov 2026, OR from 30 Nov to 11 Dec 2026  (Monday to Friday 8 am to 4pm) at Auckland CBD and one of our centres 

To enter the programme, you'll need to successfully complete a swim assessment: 

  • 200m swim in under 6 minutes 

  • 50m breaststroke 

  • 25m sidestroke 

  • 5 minutes treading water 

  • Duck dive and object retrieval from a 5m pool
