We are currently looking for a Manager, Community Place – Papakura Library and Council Service Centre, come and lead our passionate and highly motivated team of 13! You will be responsible for leading day-to-day operational management of the library and council services including responsibility for financial and staffing allocations. You will create effective community practice, addressing needs and priorities of the local board and local communities, and provide a safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
 
Among others, your day-to-day duties will be to:

  • Facilitate and grow community and partner-led activity to deliver services including programmes and events
  • Provide facility and people management which meets the needs of our diverse community 
  • Collaboratively manage the recruitment and induction of staff for the local board team, as well as the mentoring, upskilling and coaching of existing staff
  • Lead and develop our community-based staff for delivering excellence in visitor experiences.

 

This is a permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week requiring flexibility to work across the Manurewa-Papakura local boards as required. The library is open six days a week (Mon – Sat).

The salary range for this role is $90-$116K dependant upon experience, plus kiwisaver of 3% added.
