He angitūtanga: The opportunity
An opportunity has arisen to become part of the wonderful Otahuhu Community Library team as a Libraries and Council Service Assistant. This will be a fixed-term part-time x 22 hours to cover a parental leave from October 2025-October 2026. This position is based at Ōtāhuhu library and will need to support other libraries in the Māngere - Ōtāhuhu local board. Shifts: Monday (8 hours), Thursday (8 hours), and Saturday (6 hours).

You will be working within a library whānau that has a strong team culture, strong in Pasifika and tikanga Māori, a place where everyone can feel they belong. No two days are the same, you will greet and assist customers with a variety of queries from assisting customers to access library & council services, as well as supporting with the delivery of programmes and events, digital troubleshooting, Wi-Fi, and general computer queries.

Salary: 65, 493+ (depending on skills and experience)
