Learn to Swim Lead | Manurewa Pool and Leisure Centre
As the Lead Learn to Swim, you’ll be playing a key part in ensuring a great customer experience for our customers when participating in our Learn to Swim programme and ensure the development and delivery of programmes and services are maintained at an exceptional standard.
The shifts (optional choices):
Monday - 3:15pm to 7:15pm
Tuesday - 3:00pm to 6:45pm
Wednesday - 3:15pm to 7:15pm
Thursday - 3:00pm to 6:45pm
Fridays –-3:15pm to 6:45pm
Saturdays - 8:45am to 1:15pm
Sundays - 8:30am to 1:15pm
There are also Monday, Thursday morning (9:15am – 1:15pm babies and Toddler classes) available for rostering and a set of Friday morning (9:15am – 1:15pm) available also. We would be looking for applicants who can ideally work 3-4 days a week (if not more).
In this position, you’ll be conducting pool deck supervision, assisting with the inducting, training, and development of team members, and assisting the Team Leader Learn to Swim with rostering and lesson delivery. You’ll also support the day-to-day operational running of the Learn to Swim programme and provide great customer service and problem resolution for our customers.

You’ll have a passion for motivating both your team members and our customers to enjoy and gain confidence in swimming. You’ll be committed to making the experience of working in and visiting our pools a great one for everyone involved.
You should also hold a recognised swim teacher qualification (AUSTSWIM), a First Aid certificate, and experience in delivering lessons across a range of ages and abilities.
Training will be provided for the right candidate. Previous team supervising or leading experience is also highly desirable.
