Lead Lifeguard | Papatoetoe Centennial Pools

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Our pool and leisure facilities are more popular than ever, and as the Lead Lifeguard for our Papatoetoe Centennial Pools, you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers not only have a fantastic experience but a safe one.


Your main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing guidance on and supporting the delivery of aquatics-based programmes
  • General lifeguarding duties to ensure customers are safe and looked after
  • Supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations at the Centre.

  

This is an on-site position. We are looking to fill a Permanent full-time position. As our centre opens 7 days a week, the ability to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends, is crucial in this role. 

 

While customer support experience is beneficial for this role, it is not required. We welcome people who are eager to learn and contribute to our customer service team.

You will have a passion for aquatics and a desire to share your knowledge and experience with both customers and colleagues to enhance water safety. As an excellent communicator, you will be dedicated to delivering outstanding aquatic programmes and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.


Joining an energetic and passionate team, you’ll be a keen team player with a flexible approach and be able to take the initiative to help drive a positive safety culture.


You’ll need to hold a current First Aid Certificate as well as a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate.
