Fitness Consultant | Lloyd Elsmore Park Pool and Leisure Centre
With our Leisure Centres more popular and busier than ever, our fitness teams play a vital part in ensuring that visitors are kept motivated, interested, and eager to return again.
As a Fitness Consultant, you will be helping people achieve their health and well-being goals and delivering fitness programmes for all ages and abilities across our diverse community.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for organizing group fitness timetables, coordinating with our contracted instructors, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction for our diverse range of fitness classes. Join us and play a vital role in shaping the group fitness experiences of our valued customers!
The shift:
20 hours per week. Working across 7 days. Includes a weekend shift.

It goes without saying that you will be passionate about fitness, health, and well-being!
A recognised fitness-related qualification is required. Knowledge of fitness training including fitness testing and monitoring of clients together with a First Aid Certificate. The preferred candidate will have an interest in taking a variety of group fitness classes from BoxFit to HIIT in addition to their gym shifts.
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive people who thrive on client contact and have a proven ability to communicate effectively to provide a high level of client satisfaction through the programmes you deliver.
Joining a proactive and dynamic team, you will be a keen team player with a flexible approach. You will be comfortable asking questions and building your knowledge to be able to use your initiative to provide innovative and appropriate fitness solutions.
With impeccable time management skills, you will be confident with administrative tasks and processes.

We aim to upskill and progress your career, so you can train and take on other functions within our centres, such as Lifeguard, Recreation Assistant and more. By the same token, if we occasionally need some help in other areas such as at our front desk and general customer service duties, as a team member, you may be called on to cover these areas if short-staffed or at peak periods.

Pay rate: Starting $24.04 per hour
Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and is deemed a safety sensitive position.
As such applicants will be required to undergo police vetting and a drug test prior to commencing employment.
