He angitūtanga: The Opportunity 

The Digital & Customer Services Department is seeking a Customer Services Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. 

 

This is a vital role within the Council, focused on developing and delivering training for the Customer Services Department. You will play an essential part in ensuring the capability of both new and existing staff is continuously enhanced. 

 

In this role, you will work collaboratively to build strong relationships with your team, a diverse range of training participants, and other Council departments when needed. You’ll be applying adult learning techniques to cater to different learning styles, ensuring training is effective and sets a strong foundation for our Customer Service staff to deliver outstanding, cost-effective service to Auckland Council customers. 

 

He kōrero mōu: About You 

To be successful in this role, you will have at least one year of experience in a customer service or call centre environment. 

 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Experience in developing and/or facilitating training programmes 
  • A current, clean full New Zealand driver’s license, as the role involves delivering training across various locations in Auckland 
  • Flexibility with working hours, including availability for after-hours and weekend training on an as needed basis
  • Relevant qualifications (preferred but not required)
