We’re looking for an enthusiastic leader to manage day-to-day operations at Te Puke ō Tara Community Centre. This full-time role is based in the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board area and involves managing a small team, working closely with the community to deliver programmes, and create a welcoming environment for all.
This is a permanent, 40 hour per week role, generally Monday to Friday but occasionally, you’ll need to work outside standard hours, including weekends.
What You’ll Do
- Grow community-led activities, events, and services.
- Manage the centre, including staff and budgets.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a passionate team.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and the local community.

You’re a proven leader with:
- 4+ years of leadership experience.
- A passion for empowering diverse communities.
- Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to te ao Māori.

This role is band G, we are expecting to appoint the successful candidate between $85-$100k depending on experience.
