Situated in our Otara Leisure Centre, as a Casual Team Member no two days will be the same! You will help us deliver an exciting range of sporting activities, including refereeing for our netball games.
In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include, assisting to deliver a fun and enjoyable holiday programme for children between the ages of 5-13 years, delivering exceptional service to our customers and visitors supporting the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children, helping the Centre maintain a caring, fun and safe fitness and leisure environment, providing assistance to Centre management with administration and operational duties; and supporting with Centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes.

You’ll already be passionate about sports and recreation, and ready to step into a frontline customer service role. It goes without saying that you’ll be responsible when it comes to working with children. You’ll have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programmes for kids. An enthusiastic team player, you’ll have a positive attitude and infectious energy, and be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience with netball and refereeing netball games
- a First Aid Certificate and understand health and safety procedures, however, we can provide training for this.
- Experience working with children

This is a casual opportunity with most hours needed to work during the school Holiday times and possibly weekends.

We aim to upskill and progress your career, so you can train and take on other functions within our centres, such as Learn to Swim Instructor. By the same token, if we occasionally need some help in other areas such as at our front desk and general customer service duties, as a team member, you may be called on to cover these areas if short-staffed or at peak periods.
Pay Rate: $27.80 per hour
