Auckland Council is continuing its transformation journey, with a significant and growing Technology Services capability. This presents a unique opportunity for a Salesforce platform specialist to contribute in a complex, energised, and collaborative environment.As a Senior Salesforce Platform Specialist, you will take ownership of the stability, security, and performance of our Salesforce environment, which is a critical part of our enterprise digital ecosystem. This includes overseeing key integrations such as SAP and leading platform-level outcomes that ensure resilience, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction.You will be responsible for maintaining technical integrity, managing production deployments, proactively identifying risks, and supporting the platform lifecycle. Your role will also include establishing strong platform governance practices, managing internal support processes, and collaborating closely with development, testing, infrastructure, and security teams.A key part of your success will be influencing best practices, documenting system architecture and integration touchpoints, and continuously driving improvements across the Salesforce platform to meet evolving business needs.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will bring significant hands-on experience in enterprise Salesforce environments and be known for your technical expertise, platform stewardship, and proactive approach.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Salesforce Administration role supporting complex environments.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and Platform App Builder credentials (required).
  • Ability to manage platform environments, data changes and security components
  • A strategic and holistic understanding of Salesforce Orgs and their integrations.Experience working with internal support teams and vendors, managing tickets from creation to resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage production deployments, quarterly releases, and manual deployment steps.
  • A track record of recommending sustainable, scalable platform improvements based on business needs.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A curious, solutions-focused mindset and commitment to uplifting platform maturity.

Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Service Cloud or Experience Cloud certifications and experience with environments that support multiple high-volume integrations and concurrent development streams.
