He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council’s Technology Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Integration Developer to join our Platform Engineering team.

In this role, you will design, develop and support the integrations that connect Council’s enterprise applications, cloud services and digital platforms.

You will work across MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and SAP Integration Suite, creating scalable APIs, reusable integration services and modern cloud based solutions. Working alongside architects, engineers and delivery teams, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to technical design and influence how our integration capability continues to evolve.

This is an opportunity to work on integration challenges at significant scale, with your work supporting technology and services used across Auckland Council and Tāmaki Makaurau.

 

You could expect to:

• Design, develop and deliver integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and SAP Integration Suite
• Build scalable APIs and reusable integration services
• Contribute to enterprise integration architecture and technical design
• Integrate SAP applications, cloud platforms and enterprise systems
• Support transformation initiatives through modern integration patterns
• Improve API governance, monitoring and lifecycle management
• Enhance integration reliability, performance and resilience
• Contribute to automation, CI/CD and modern engineering practices

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

You are an experienced integration developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and building solutions that are scalable, reliable and built to last.

You will bring strong enterprise integration and API development experience, ideally gained within a large or complex technology environment. You will be comfortable working across different systems and platforms and enjoy collaborating with other technical specialists to find the best solution.

 

We are particularly interested in experience with:

• MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, CloudHub and DataWeave
• SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration and API Management
• REST and SOAP APIs
• JSON and XML
• Enterprise integration patterns and API design
• SAP applications such as S/4HANA and other enterprise systems
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Modern software development and delivery practices

 

If your experience is stronger in either MuleSoft or SAP Integration Suite rather than both, we still encourage you to apply. We are interested in strong integration specialists who can bring depth of expertise and continue developing across our wider technology landscape.
