Auckland Unlimited (AUL) is a newly created council-controlled organisation (CCO) established with an important mandate to drive investment, supporting Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland businesses to innovate and thrive, enhancing Auckland as a culturally vibrant city, telling the Tāmaki Makaurau story, and importantly providing experiences and opportunities for all.

 

The Change & Transformation (C&T) is a newly established function led by highly experienced professionals to support the entire organisation deliver transformational and strategic projects and embed agile ways of working.  The C&T team is focused on implementing best practice in terms of capability, systems, processes and enhancing collaborative ways of working in the new normal of a Covid-19 landscape.  A strong focus is to develop and ensure adherence to a robust project management methodology from project conception, business case, implementation and post implementation review.

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager who will manage, co-ordinate and support the delivery of AUL wide projects.  This role reports to the Head of PMO where you will assist with planning activities for the portfolio of projects, work with key stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate the co-design, implementation of AUL projects.

 

You will support the Head of PMO in developing and managing a clear project delivery strategy and methodology and ensure stakeholders are engaged with at the right time with the right methods, ensuring they feel included in the design, delivery and embedding process.  This is a unique opportunity for you to join a team at the start of a major programme of change through to implementation.

We are seeking a resilient and adaptable team player to manage multiple mid to large-sized projects, who can bring a dynamic element to our existing professional project management capability.  You will have an extensive facilitation skill in leading workshops with stakeholders at all levels.  You will have experience working with advanced project management tools and techniques.

 

You are a people person who is passionate about achieving outcomes, delegating and empowering others to achieve the best outcomes.  You will have exceptional organisation skills and are quick at identifying and mitigating risks.
