At Auckland Council – Group Shared Services (GSS), we’re committed to delivering high‑quality digital services that support and empower our communities. As a Product Owner, you’ll play a key role in shaping and improving products across multiple technology value streams.

You’ll work closely with a Product Manager to translate business needs into clear, prioritised work for internal delivery teams and external partners. While some upcoming work involves Salesforce, the role spans a range of existing services and technologies.

He kōrero mōu: About you

We’re looking for multiple experienced Product Owners who can operate confidently in complex environments and deliver user‑centred, data‑informed outcomes. You have experience contributing to digital product delivery or service transformation, supporting strategy, and helping build strong business cases.

You will also bring:

• Experience as a Product Owner, ideally in public or community‑focused services is an advantage
• Strong skills in translating business requirements into prioritised backlogs and actionable work
• Ability to work across a variety of technologies; experience with platforms like Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce, or Security Products & Services is helpful but not essential
• A user‑centred, stakeholder‑focused approach, with experience engaging frontline staff, service users, and community groups
• Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams such as designers, developers, policy specialists, and operational staff
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery, backlog management, roadmaps, and iterative development
