The Auckland Council Environmental Services team is very excited to have an opportunity in their Environmental Services Integration Group for a Principal Advisor to join them! 


You would lead the department’s social design and evaluation of projects that build organisational capacity in social mobilisation and enable Aucklanders to preserve, protect and care for the natural environment. Alongside this you would  mentor, advise and support staff across the department to adopt best practice processes and methodologies.


Day-to-day you can expect to work on:
•    Leading the collaborative design of behaviour change programmes 
•    Improving outcome effectiveness and implementing training and tools to build departmental capability
•    Encourage the development of self-service tools to enable design and delivery teams to maximise desired behaviours
•    Support the design of communications approaches to drive the adoption of pro-environmental behaviours 
•    Provide mentoring for group members that operate in the same or similar fields.


He kōrero mōu: About you


To be successful in this role you will have proven experience and success providing advisory services in this field. You’ll also be experienced with designing and evaluating behaviour change programmes to effect pro-environmental behaviours and then applying quantitative and qualitative concepts, methods and analysis at an expert level, able to evaluate social projects and measuring their outcomes.
