We are seeking an industry experienced person for Holiday Park Manager of the Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park this is a full-time permanent position.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced holiday park or tourism professional to lead one of New Zealand's iconic beachfront holiday parks. As Holiday Park Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, commercial and people leadership of Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park in this full-time, permanent position.
You will lead the park's day-to-day operations, driving business performance, identifying growth opportunities, and developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers exceptional guest experiences. You'll be supported by internal Council specialist teams, Holiday Parks portfolio manager, the park's Deputy Manager and Front of House Team Leader.
You will be accountable for health and safety, regulatory compliance, industry best practice, financial performance, occupancy, and key operational and customer service outcomes. This includes budgeting, forecasting, reporting, continuous improvement, and ensuring the park operates to the highest standards.
As a key member of the Holiday Parks leadership team, you will contribute to strategic planning and portfolio-wide initiatives while building strong relationships with stakeholders, industry partners, local businesses, mana whenua, community organisations, and the wider tourism sector.
The remuneration range for this role is $82, 917 - $92,130 per annum depending on proven relevant experience and performance.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will be a strong people leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers, stakeholders, and team members. You'll be adaptable, customer-focused, and capable of managing competing priorities while maintaining a solutions-focused approach.
You will bring proven experience leading and managing holiday park, campground, accommodation, tourism, or hospitality operations, with a strong background in facilities, operational, and customer service management. You will be passionate about leading and developing high-performing teams while delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional customer experiences that support strong operational and business performance.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, is essential, along with accurate administrative and data entry skills. Experience within customer service, hospitality, tourism, holiday parks, accommodation, online booking platforms (OTA’s), property management systems, and digital marketing is highly desirable.
Experience with SAP, project management, and capital and operational work programmes would be an advantage.
You will have a strong commitment to health and safety, a current NZ Class 1 Driver Licence, and previous experience coordinating contractors and trades. A current First Aid and Site Safe Construction Site Access certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain these.
To lead the team and manage the holiday park, we are looking for someone with:
- A tertiary qualification, degree or diploma in business management and/or hospitality / tourism industry, or the equivalent in experience.
- 5 + years of management and business experience in a customer service / hospitality / tourism or small business-related environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, rostered shifts and additional for short notice cover as required.
- Strong sound financial management acumen (budgeting, forecasting and reporting)
- High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite and booking systems
- Experienced or ability to be trained in operating vehicles, tools, and machinery (utility vehicles, tractor, ride on mower, tools, plant and software systems)
