He angitūtanga: The opportunity
To work as a pool lifeguard in New Zealand, the Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC) is the minimum award you need to hold. Pool lifeguards are observant, patient, and good with people. Their skill set means they have the confidence to act in a quick, responsible, and calm way.

As such, we will provide this training for you free of charge.

We aim to upskill and progress your career, so you can train and take on other functions within our centres, such as Recreation Assistant, Fitness Instructor and more. By the same token, if we occasionally need some help in other areas such as at our front desk and general customer service duties, as a team member, you may be called on to cover these areas if short-staffed or at peak periods.
