Ngā Pātaka Kōrero o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Libraries) have a strong community focus and we are an extraordinary destination for the people of Auckland.  Our Library & Council Services Assistants play a vital part within our library team ensuring that our libraries within the Rodney local board, provide a world-class customer experience that is second to none.
 
No two days are the same, you will greet and assist customers with a variety of queries from assisting customers to access library & council services, supporting with the delivery of programmes and events, digital troubleshooting, Wi-Fi, and general computer queries.

 

Many of our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days, including weekends, is required. We are looking for 1 person for a permanent 16 hour part time position based at Mahurangi East Library.

 

For this position you will be expected to work a Saturday and two weekdays. This role will require you to be flexible to sometimes work across all library services within the local board, which include Warkworth and Wellsford libraries.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be willing to help create a whānau environment where everyone works together to achieve team goals and share creative ideas.
  • Enjoy working with people from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds
  • Be a quick learner who would be able to assist people with technology queries
  • Love working with tamariki and can assist with both adult and youth programmes.
