He angitūtanga: The opportunity


As a Fitness Instructor, you will be helping people achieve their health and well-being goals and delivering fitness programmes for all ages and abilities across our diverse community.

 

We aim to upskill and progress your career, so you will have the opportunity to train and take on other functions within our centres, such as Lifeguard, Recreation Assistant and more.

 

By the same token, if we occasionally need some help in other areas such as at our front desk and general customer service duties, as a team member, you may be called on to cover these areas if short-staffed or at peak periods.

 

This is a permanent part-time 27.5 hours position, you are required to work the following shifts:

  • Tuesday 5:15am – 1:15pm
  • Wednesday 5:15am – 1:15pm 
  • Thursday 6:45am – 1:15pm
  • Saturday 6:45am – 1:45pm

You will be passionate about fitness, health, and well-being!

 
With a proven ability to communicate effectively, you will be able to provide a high level of client satisfaction, through engaging with clients, either on the gym floor, taking gym tours or leading group fitness tasks and much more.

 

A recognised fitness-related qualification is required to be a fitness instructor, and knowledge of fitness training including fitness testing and monitoring of clients is advantageous.

Starting rate: $24.04 per hour
