He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council’s Community Facilities department has an opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator within the Operations team.
Please note: This role will be based out of the Orewa office. 

 

In this rewarding and varied role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day facilities management of some of Auckland’s most unique buildings and open spaces. Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you will be managing a range of Auckland Council-owned facilities across your region and developing a comprehensive understanding of the assets in your portfolio.

 

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Overseeing the performance of our contractors
  • Maximising your budget to achieve high-quality outcomes
  • Acting as the first point of call for all maintenance enquiries for the assets in your portfolio

This role requires experience in similar collaborative roles.

 

We will be looking for specific experience with:

  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Facilities management
  • Strong administrative and computer skills
  • Managing a budget and providing sound financial tracking
  • As this role will require you to use a Council car to travel to and from facilities, you’ll need to hold a full clean New Zealand driver’s license
