We are seeking an industry experienced person for Holiday Park Deputy Manager of the Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park this is a full-time permanent position. The role will assist with the management of the park operations to meet objectives, customer expectation and experience.

 

You can expect to work on:
•    Supporting the management of daily park operations and stepping in for the Holiday Park Manager when required.
•    Leading and coaching the operational team to deliver high-quality service and maintenance outcomes.
•    Managing health and safety, compliance requirements, and on-site contractors and suppliers.
•    Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all visitors and guests.
•    Contributing to planning, resourcing, and improvements across the wider holiday parks portfolio.


  
The Park is open 7 days a week 365 days per year, we are especially busy throughout the summer months. You may be rostered to respond after-hours for park security, the duty of care, and emergency response in the absence of the holiday park manager, this can include staying on site. The role also assists in support across the portfolio of our other holiday parks and sites as and when required.

 

You will be working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days including public holidays and weekends.


 
Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park is a large and busy Qualmark 4 Star rated beachfront Holiday Park with multiple camping sites and accommodation offerings.  Nestled amongst Pohuatakawa’s fronting the stunning Ōrewa Beach reserve and Hibiscus Coast Highway. He kōrero mōu: About you

 

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse range of people at all levels.  You will have a focus to "execute and deliver" as hands-on leader ‘walking the talk’ who can ensure tasks and deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Have the ability to cope with the unexpected, manage multiple tasks, prioritise as required whilst being customer centric, solution and performance focused. You’ll have a passion for motivating and developing your team, along with operational and facilities management and maintenance expertise.

 

You will be an established leader in facilities and service operations, health and safety, customer service to ensure the holiday park runs smoothly, provides a safe great enjoyable experience for our customers and team. You'll need to ensure you're savvy with Microsoft Software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams and with good data entry skills to ensure the administrative aspects of the role are delivered with quality. Previous experience in customer service / hospitality / tourism / holiday parks / accommodation, online booking platforms, property management booking systems is essential.  Knowledge and experience with SAP, project management, capital and operational work programmes would be advantageous.


To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with:
 
•    Proven industry and operational experience leading and managing holiday park/campground or holiday accommodation
•    Experienced in operational business management and/or hospitality / tourism industry / facilities and assets, or the equivalent in experience.
•    2-3 plus years of leading staff and teams including supervisory to management experience in a customer service / hospitality / tourism or small business-related environment.
•    Good financial acumen
•    Customer service and centric approach experience and skills.
•    Committed to health and safety with knowledge of HSWA 2015.
•    A current NZ Driver’s license Class 1 
•    Facilities and asset maintenance, proven experience and performance including supervision of contractors or trades
•    Experienced or ability to be trained in operating vehicles, tools, and machinery (utility vehicles, tractor, ride on mower, tools, plant and software systems)
•    Current First Aid Certificate and Construct Safe, or ability to obtain.
•    High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite and booking systems
•    Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, rostered shifts and additional for short notice cover as required.
