Here at Auckland Council, our leisure centres play a key role in achieving our goal of get Auckland the most active city in the world. And right now, we're looking for a Team Member to join our Customer Support team at Takapuna Pool and Leisure Centre.


This role will see you working with community groups across the Auckland region. You will help us deliver an exciting customer service to our community groups. 

In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors during busy periods 
  • Support a large, diverse fitness and aquatic membership base with enrolment and retention  
  • Completing day-to-day administration tasks and cash handling 
  • Understanding all centre operations and assisting with relevant tasks such as bookings and appointments

 

We are looking to fill casual and 8-hour permanent part-time positions. Please note that permanent role has fixed roster, and shifts cannot be adjusted. As such, we’re ideally seeking candidates who can commit to the advertised schedule.

 

  • 8-hr position: 7.30am - 4pm

You enjoy working with people and take pride in delivering a positive experience in a frontline customer service environment. 

 

Moreover, you have: 

  

  • A mature, responsible, and flexible approach and you are able to use your initiative to problem solve 
  • An enthusiastic, team‑player, and positive attitude with infectious energy 
  • A commitment providing your customers with an exceptional experience and to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work 
  • An understanding about health and safety 

 

You will need a First Aid Certificate; however, we will help you obtain one if you do not already have it.
