Ngā Pātaka Kōrero o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Libraries) have a strong community focus, and we are an extraordinary destination for the people of Auckland.  Our Senior Library & Council Service Assistant play a vital part within our library team ensuring that our libraries within the the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki local board, provide a world-class customer experience that is second to none. 

 

A rare opportunity has arisen to apply for a Senior Libraries and Council Services Assistant position in the Upper Habour and Hibiscus Bays South Local Board Local Board based at East Coast Bay Library.

 

The role will focus on the needs of our diverse communities to develop partnerships, programmes and services and supporting digital literacy and equity. You will have a passion about making a difference in the library.

 

This is a permanent 24 hours per week position, required to work rostered Sundays and late night on Thursday. This role also requires flexibility to work across the local board libraries.

Flexibility, adaptability, superb people skills, a willingness to learn, a passion for customer service and a can-do attitude are essential.
