East Coast Bays Leisure Centre is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to step into a role that blends programme delivery with customer service excellence.
As a Recreation Lead, you will play a key role in coaching, mentoring, and supervising team members to ensure a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment for both staff and customers. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement across our programmes, helping deliver high-quality experiences for school students and community groups throughout the Auckland region. In addition to supporting programme facilitation, this role includes a strong focus on customer support, ensuring every visitor to our centre receives outstanding service and a welcoming experience.

He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this position, you need to have:
- A strong background in customer support, with proven experience building relationships across diverse communities
- An experience with OSCAR programmes
- First Aid Certificate; however, we will help you attain this if you do not have one already
- Preferably, a full New Zealand driver's licence is, as it may be needed within your day-to-day duties
- Strong technology skills, including familiarity with Microsoft products
- The ability to lead and mentor a team while delivering high-quality programmes
This is a permanent part-time position offering 30 hours per week. Shifts may start as early as 5:45am and extend as late as 9:15pm, including weekends so flexibility is essential.

Salary range: $30.02/hr
