Here at Auckland Council, our leisure centres play a key role in achieving our goal of getting more Aucklanders, more active, more often. And right now, we’re looking for Learn to Swim Instructors to join our team in Takapauna Pool and Leisure Centre to help achieve that goal!

He kōrero mōu: About you
If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a swimming instructor, that’s great – but if you don’t that’s fine too as we’ll provide all of the training you need to do the job! You’ll need to complete your first aid certificate, have a love of water, a commitment to exceptional customer service and an ability to communicate well with adults and children.

And to top it off, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing the work you do is important, and you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of watching someone gain the confidence that comes from learning how to swim.
Part-time working minimum 2 hours per week during term time opportunities are available. You should be able to work on any of these shifts and at least 2 two of these working days: Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 3.15 pm.
