Lead Lifeguard | Albany Stadium Pool and Leisure Centre​


Our pool and leisure facilities are more popular than ever, and as Lead Lifeguard for the Albany Stadium Pool and Leisure Centre​ you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers have a fantastic and safe experience.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing guidance and supporting the delivery of aquatics-based programmes
  • General lifeguarding duties to ensure customers are safe and looked after
  • Supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations at the Centre

 

This is a permanent, full-time 40-hour position. The shift details are as follows:

 

  • Rotating roster over 7 days (Saturday – Friday)
  • As the roster is rotating, you will not get the same shifts every day of the week
  • You will need to be able to work alternate weekends as a minimum
  • Our earliest start is 5am with the latest finish being 9:30pm

You have a passion for aquatics and enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues to improve water safety.

You have excellent communication skills and are committed to delivering exceptional aquatic programmes and providing a high level of customer satisfaction.  

 

A keen team player, we will value your flexible approach and initiative to help drive a positive safety culture.
 
You’ll need to hold a First Aid Certificate as well as a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, and if you have previously held these and they have expired, talk to us. As the centre operates 7 days a week, reliability and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts are essential.

Pay rate: $29.01 per hour
