He angitūtanga: The opportunity
In this rewarding and varied role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day facilities maintenance of buildings and open spaces across Rodney. Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you’ll be covering a range of Auckland Council-owned facilities across the Rodney area.
You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of the assets in your portfolio and work to ensure the assets meet the needs of the local community. Some of your responsibilities will include overseeing the performance of our contractors, maximising your budget to achieve high-quality outcomes, and acting as the first point of call for all maintenance enquiries for the assets in your portfolio.

You’ll be committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and be a natural at managing both external and internal stakeholder relationships. You’ll have an understanding of built and open space maintenance, and ideally have some prior experience with facilities management. With strong administrative and computer skills, you’ll also be comfortable managing a budget and providing sound financial tracking.

This covers the Rodney Local Board area and you’ll be based predominantly in the Albany office.
You will be required to have a valid NZ driver's licence due to the nature of the position where you will be required to regularly travel to various Community Facility sites. Please note Rodney is a large area and driving will include on rural roads.
This position is deemed a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
