He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

We have a 26-hr permanent part-time opportunity! Where you will be joining our team at Glenfield Pool and Leisure Centre, where we inspire Aucklanders to be more active at our multi-function leisure centre. You only get one chance to make a fantastic first impression and our Customer Service Team are the people that make it happen when Aucklanders visit our centre.

 

In this role, you will lead and mentor day-to-day operations of your team; including performance management, personal development and training, entering and managing stock, leading incident responses, and implements procedures to enhance team efficiency. You will analyse customer feedback and ensure continuous improvement for our customers satisfaction. Moreover, you will report to the Customer Support Team Leader and collaborate closely with the other Customer Support Lead, as well as Leads from other functions, to bring out the best in our teams. 

 

You will ensure the services and programmes operate at a high standard and excel at meeting customer and community needs. This role was created to champion fantastic customer service amongst our front-of-house team. We want our visitors to feel welcome from the moment they walk through our doors - that first encounter is crucial to ensuring that they will come back again.

 

Our Centre operates a 7-day service, so reliability and commitment to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends, is crucial in this role. Shifts below:

 

  • Monday: 3.30PM-10PM
  • Tuesday: 3.30PM-10PM
  • Wednesday: 3.30PM-10PM
  • Sunday: 7.30AM-4PM

You will have customer service management experience; you will thrive on using your initiative to find improved ways of doing things and the opportunity to implement these. You will have a passion for bringing out the best in your team and enjoy building relationships across a diverse range of internal & external customers.
