Casual Team Member – Recreation Assistant (Holiday Programmes) | East Coast Bays Leisure Centre
Situated in our East Coast Bays Leisure Centre, as a Casual Team Member – Recreation Assistant (Holiday Programmes), no two days will be the same.
You’ll play a key part in delivering fun, safe, and engaging school holiday programmes for tamariki aged 5–13, helping us maintain a caring and energetic fitness and leisure environment.
In this frontline role, you will:
- Support the delivery of a variety of holiday programme activities for children aged 5–13
- Help create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment across the centre
- Support centre activities such as sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes
This role is primarily to support school holiday programmes, so you must be available to work during school holidays

You’ll already be passionate about sports and recreation and enjoy being in a hands-on, people-facing role. You’ll be confident working with children, able to manage group dynamics, and bring a calm, friendly approach that helps create a positive experience for every participant.
You will also be:
- Responsible and professional when working with children
- Flexible, organised, and able to use your initiative to adapt activities to suit the group
- An enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and great communication skills
- Committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience
First Aid & safety: Ideally, you’ll hold a First Aid Certificate and have a good understanding of health and safety but training is provided.
