Situated in our East Coast Bays Leisure Centre, as a Recreation Assistant, no two days will be the same! You’ll help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes. 


In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include, delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors supporting with the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children aged 5-12, helping the Centre maintain a caring, fun and safe fitness and leisure environment, providing assistance to Centre management with administration and operational duties; and supporting with Centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes. As a basketball referee, you will use your knowledge and experience to officiate basketball games and maintain a high level of judgment to ensure a consistent and fair game.

You have sound communication skills, confident in managing group dynamics and highly organised with a flexible approach.

A Positive attitude and willing to learn is the key. 


Having experience in Basketball would be an advantage but not required. 

You will hold a First Aid Certificate and have an understanding of health and safety procedures.


This is a casual opportunity, so you’ll need to work flexible hours as and when needed, including weekends, early starts and late finishes.

You must be available during school holidays. During the school holiday, you will be required to work up to 40 hours per weeks.

You will have the opportunity to train to the customer support representative role and support the centre during other periods.

Pay rate: $23.65 (+ 8% holiday pay) 




This position is deemed a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug testing.
