He angitūtanga: The opportunity 

Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will plan and deliver marketing campaigns for Auckland Live and support the marketing for Auckland Conventions and Economic Development projects 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Implement marketing campaigns that support business units or cultural oganisations' marketing plans. 
  • Ensure delivery of campaigns are concluded successfully and cost-effectively within budget  
  • Curate content accommodating to our stakeholder needs across our online platforms. 
  • Recognise opportunities to further grow the brands within our organisation. 
  • Measure campaign performance for reporting and identify improvements for future campaigns. 
  • Understand and value the importance of tikanga Māori.

You are passionate about Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and its arts, cultural and economic vibrancy. And can think of creative and innovative ways to attract and engage with local and international audiences and clients. 
 
You’re a visual storyteller, have a good eye for design and are up to play with the latest social media trends for content creation. You’re up for learning something new and acquiring new skills to add to your marketing and communications talents.   

  

We will be looking for specific experience within the key role requirements: 

  • Experience planning and delivering time-lined and budgeted campaigns using various marketing tools and channels.  
  • Strong computer literacy including an understanding of basic design tools like Canva, and the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • Solid administrative and organisational skills, including prioritising and running projects effectively, copywriting & proofing, and dealing with numerous projects concurrently  
  • The ability to get ‘stuck in’ and a positive attitude on all manner of tasks, big and small  
  • The ability to establish an easy rapport with people, manage key relationships and support a range of promoters, creatives and clients 
     

Desirable skills:   

  • Good understanding of written and verbal te reo Māori,   
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign & Photoshop

Note: This is a permanent full-time role, working 40 hours Monday to Friday, with the requirement to undertake work outside of normal office hours from time to time, to fulfil, in particular for Auckland Live's show needs and support.
